Donna Martin

Donna Jean Martin, age 84, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at a health care center in Pocatello, Idaho. She was born on June 14, 1925 in Rupert, Idaho the daughter of Willard and Ann Thomas (Gibbs) Martin. Donna was raised in the Burley, Id area and graduated from Burley High School. She worked as a Telephone Operator for Mountain Bell. Donna married Ralph Martin in 1947 in Shoshone, ID . They had their marriage later solemnized in the Idaho, Falls LDS Temple. She enjoyed going to church and held many callings in the church during her life. Donna liked to go camping and she enjoyed fishing and gardening as well. Donna was preceded in death by her husband in 1988, and two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her two children, David (Cindy) Martin of Richland, Washington and Peggy (Randy) Moore of Pocatello, Idaho; four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Graveside services for Donna will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Basin Cemetery in Oakley, Idaho. Family and friends can call from 6-8:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home on Thursday evening, July 16th.
