Donna Mae Mitchell

Donna Mae Mitchell, 79, passed away on Sunday Oct. 24, 2021 in Pocatello, Idaho surrounded by her family.

She was born July 22, 1942 in Orofino, ID to William and Minerva (Blodgett) Francis. She moved to Pocatello at a young age, where she resided the rest of her life. She attended schools in Pocatello.

She married Clarence “Poog” Mitchell on Feb. 11, 1958 in Pocatello. They were married 42 years and together raised three children, David, Lorilee and Jeff. She worked at Studio Press, which she later owned and operated. She was later employed by Primbs Printing until retirement.

Donna especially enjoyed baking and cooking for her children, grandchildren and neighbors. She was a master in the kitchen, great homemaker and she often spent time preparing meals for her family. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and making jewelry for her family and friends. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and always made it so special for everyone. She was a member of Central Christian Church in Pocatello.

She is survived by her son, David (Sandy), son-in-law Rick Grunig, Granddaughters, Amy Hale, Brittney (Ryan) Peterson, Carly Mitchell, and great-grandson Jace Hale. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Poog, sister LaGean Neighbors, daughter Lorilee Chandler, and son Jeff Mitchell.

Donna was a loving mother, grandmother and friend with a great sense of humor and she will be greatly missed by all those that loved her.
