"God created a picture and called it the world, with mountains, valleys and streams." His handiwork brought hours of enjoyment to Donna Lee Sant Prescott and her family. Donna Lee Sant Prescott was born August 22, 1931 in Pocatello, Idaho to her parents Archie and Evelyn Sant. She was raised in a loving home where the principles of hard work, a deep appreciation for natures beauty and lending a helping hand or ear with a "glad heart" were instilled. These principles were the cornerstone of Donnas life and she exemplified them graciously and gracefully each day, and taught her family these same values. Donna married Albert M. Prescott on March 24, 1959. Together, they had four handsome boys; Larry Dean, David Lee, Richard Lynn "Rick" and Bradley "Jon". Donna balanced the busyness of her life, rarely missing her sons ball games in the process, with the tranquility she found in manicuring her yard in the sunshine. Her meticulous attention to detail allowed her to create beautiful landscapes, which were regularly recognized by Golden Arrow banners. Donnas profession throughout her life was retail, where she could help others solve problems creatively. Her retail experience varied from furniture sales to vitamins and supplements, and eventually she retired from jewelry sales. Selling jewelry was Donnas favorite occupation. She had a true love of "sparkles" and her passion for precious gems was felt by the customers who were lucky enough to experience her customer service. Donna added her final touch to all the items she sold and went out of her way to "wow" her guests with a beautifully wrapped gift when they left the store. A touch of "Donna" was essentially her quiet blessing to those she helped. After Donna retired, she spent her time honing her painting skills and diligently worked toward perfecting her techniques. Donna learned to paint porcelain doll faces expertly and moved on to Christmas dcor that included Old World Santas. Her Santas mixed the right amount of ruggedness with refinement. Whatever she imagined, she was able to paint and infuse with love. Rather than selling her work, she would give it away to friends and loved ones. Her blessed recipients now have a loving treasure from Donna in their homes. Additionally, Donna shared her artistic abilities at church. She was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and used her talents to create visual aids for the primary children. In her mind, abstract concepts were better understood when art was included, and she enriched the lives of many children with her efforts. Donna is preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Evelyn Sant; her husband, Albert (August 5, 1983); her son, Larry; and her brother, LaMont "Bud" Sant. She is survived by Larry (Nancy), David (Tiffany), Rick (Wendy), Jon; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister; Klea Metcalf. Her family extends heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Gateway Transitional Care Center for providing their professional expertise, often providing a well-timed hug or kiss of reassurance on the cheek to Donna. Donna appreciated those moments as do her sons. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, ID. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 2864 S. 5th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
