Donna Jean Ferro

Donna Jean Ferro returned peacefully to her Heavenly Father on June 8, 2015.
She was born on August 30, 1930 in Pocatello, ID to LeRoy Hawkley Edgley and Christine Haskett Edgley. She was raised in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1948. Donna's love of the arts started while attending high school; she worked at both the Chief Theatre and Carne Music.

On June 13, 1950 in Hollywood, CA, on the Bride & Groom Radio Show, she married the love of her life, Gene Ferro. A short two years later they were blessed with their first child Bette, followed by their sons Steve and Scott.

She was a dedicated home maker. She was a self-taught painter, avid photographer and talented pianist. She spent many years teaching piano to family, friends and youth within the community. She received great pleasure attending activities for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was very diligent in all of her church callings. She served as both a pianist and a visiting teacher. Donna and Gene were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on June 13, 2012.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gene, father Leroy, mother Christine, brothers Ronald, Jerry and Richard Edgley, grandson Joey and son Steve. She is survived by her daughter Bette Doyle (Brian), son Scott (Sabrina) and daughter-in-law Patty and loving grandchildren Gina Moon (Kyle), Eric Selders (Tricia) Sunnie Simmons (Aaron), Kathy Pilgram, Melissa and Nicole Doyle, Bo, Brook, Aaron (Lindsey), Jordan, and Devan Ferro along with 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2015 at the Kinghorn LDS Chapel at 1700 Kinghorn Road in Pocatello. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Interment will follow services in Mountain View Cemetery.
