Donald Prebbanow

Donald Frank Prebbanow, 97, went to be with his Lord, Sunday June 29, 2014. Donald was born March 26, 1917 to Frank and Maida (Hass) Prebbanow in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. On August 2, 1941, he married Elizabeth (Betty) Wittenberg at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Don was an active member of St. Paul's, serving in many ways before moving to Idaho in 2009 to be near his son, John, and family. He was employed by Consolidated Papers in Wisconsin Rapids, retiring in 1979 after 42 years. Don served in the US Army, and World War II, in the South Pacific Theatre, from August 1942 thru December 1945. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and gardening. He was a member of the V.F.W. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) of 73 years, son, John (Teresa) Prebbanow, McCammon, ID; grandchildren, Heidi (Steven) Romriell, Inkom, ID, Brett (Cassie) Lemmons, Twin Falls, ID, Heather Anderson, Idaho Falls, ID; great-grandchildren, Buddy (Brittany) Romriell, Rylee Romriell, Trey Lemmons, Hailey (James) Brown, Madelynn and Morgan Anderson; great-great grandchildren, Aspen and Ryder Romriell, Wyatt Brown; sister, Arlyne Andrews, West Bend, WI; sister-in-law, Elaine Davis, Wisconsin Rapids, W; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Tom. A memorial service will be held Thursday July 3, 2014 at 2 pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 1350 Baldy Ave. Pocatello, ID 83201, with a gathering from 1 to 2 pm prior to services at the church. Pastor Jonathon Dinger is presiding.
