Donald C. Harris

Donald Charles Harris, 82, passed away, August 18, 2024.

Don was born on January 19, 1942, to Minerva and Philip Harris in Modesto, California and grew up in Sacramento. He attended Sacramento City College studying airplane mechanics.

He was a mechanic for United Airlines in San Francisco. He also worked as a flight instructor, where he met his wife, Donna. He finished his career with Guntert Steel, retiring as a purchasing agent.

Don married Donna in 1970 and became an instant Dad to her two sons.

Don owned airplanes and loved to fly; in his later years his love of flying became flying drones. He also loved to fish!

Don spent his final year in Quail Ridge Assisted Living where he made many friends and was very loved.

Don is survived by his children, Richard Murdock of Stockton, CA, David Murdock of Lodi, CA, and Felicia Nabil of Baker City, OR; and sisters, Judy Morgan of Granite Bay, CA, and Carolyn Harris of Fair Oaks, CA.

He was preceded in death by wife, Donna; parents, Minerva and Philip Harris; and sister, Barbara Astle.

No services will be held at this time. Family is under the care of Wilks Funeral Home.
