Father, Son, Grandfather, Husband, Uncle Don Lee Jorgensen was born in Afton, Wyoming on October 9, 1952 to Beluah Ruth Neuenchwader and Kenneth Nels Jorgensen. Don passed away on August 21, 2020 in Pocatello, Idaho.
Don attended Star Valley High School. After high school he joined the National Guard.
Don married Dixine Grossnickle on June 24, 1972. They had three sons Marvin, Bob and Roy. They lived in various parts of Wyoming. In the mid 1980's they moved to Utah where he pursued a job as a truck driver. He later divorced Dixine and moved back to Alpine, Wyoming.
Years later he married Gloria Spiker in Alpine Wyoming on March 12, 2005. Gloria had four children Francie, Chuck, Jenifer and Cory that he accepted as his own.
Don served on the Alpine Town Council. He was an accomplished stone mason, which he did for many years as well as being a welder. Don loved doing mechanic work, driving bus for the little children and the float trips down the Snake River. He also loved camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with the kids and grandkids.
Don is survived by his wife Gloria Jorgensen; his mother Beluah; his half sister Jackie M. Lazarus; his 5 children Bob Jorgensen, Roy Jorgensen, Francie Murrey, Chuck Hale and Jenifer Burgess. He has 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren with one more on the way in 2021.
Don is preceded in death by Marvin Jorgensen (son), Cory Spiker (son of Gloria), Kenneth Nels Jorgensen (father), Harold Rumbaugh (stepfather), Marvin Jorgensen (brother), Kenny Jorgensen (brother) and grandparents.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 PM Sunday, August 30, 2020 at the Alpine Civic Center, 121 US-89, Alpine Wyoming 83218.
