Don Arlen Phelps

Don Phelps, 79, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, ID. Don was born on August 31, 1935 in Beckwith, WY. He grew up and graduated in Montpelier, Idaho. He was married on May 14, 1975 in London, England to Teresita Tomiampos. He spent his career in the military. Don retired from the US Navy in 1976, serving 2 tours in Vietnam. He worked for Farmers Insurance from 1979 to 2001 as a data processing manager, and was in the Fleet Reserves. He was a member of the LDS church. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and boating monthly with his grand kids. Don was a fabulous family man and adored his nieces and nephews and grand kids. Don is survived by his wife Teresita of Chubbuck, Idaho; daughter, Deborrah Phelps of Caldwell, Idaho; grandsons, Jordon and Mason Phelps and granddaughter, Lamika Phelps. He was preceded in death by a son, Donald Terence Phelps on August 14, 1977; his parents; two brothers and three sisters. Services for Don will be held Saturday, November, 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 South 4 th Avenue, Pocatello, ID. (208)233-1500. A public visitation will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:00 am. before the services. Burial will be in the Montpelier Cemetery.
