Devanne Pitman, 47, of Pocatello, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at her home surrounded by her family after an extended illness. She was born on December 16, 1961, in Pocatello to Jim and Mary Ann Pitman. She was raised in Lava Hot Springs and attended Marsh Valley schools and received her G.E.D. Devanne married Monty Neifert and they later divorced. She later lived in American Falls and settled in Pocatello with her sons and grandchildren. Devanne worked as a grocery clerk in Lava Hot Springs, stopped working to raise her boys and later went back to work managing a cash loan business in Pocatello where she was very well thought of until her health forced her to retire. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved making up games for her children and later her grandchildren to play. She was dearly loved by all, especially by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She always took time for them. She is survived by her sons Adam Neifert of Pocatello, D.R. Perkins of Idaho Falls, and Brian Pitman of Pocatello; grandchildren Tyler, Brenden, Dakota, and Ambrielle; Parents Jim and Mary Ann Pitman of American Falls; sisters Trina (Bill) McCallum of Pocatello, Michelle Gifford of American Falls; brothers Jim (LaQuita) Pitman of Richfield, Idaho, Michael Pitman of Canby, Minnesota, Shawn Pitman of Pocatello; grandmother Lola (A.J.) McNeece of American Falls; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Natalie Pitman. Friends and family will gather for a graveside service at the Sutton Cemetery in Archer, Idaho, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 26, 2009.
