Dennis Edward Steed, who came into this world in 1941, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning after a long courageous battle with cancer.
He was the beloved son of Edward Steed and Norma Guyer. He had four children: Teresa Wood, CA, Jack Steed Miller, ID, Dayne Steed, UT and Shereece Steed, CA. He also had three step-sons: Rick Pence, ID, Ross (Teri) Pence, ID and Bob (Sherri) Pence, UT and 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was survived by his wife of 20 years Julleen Steed, two sisters, Virginia (Marv) Grandalen, and Paula (John) Locke and one brother Monty (Penny) Steed.
Dennis was honorably discharged from the US Army. Some of his greatest loves in life were fishing, laughing, music, dance, children, animals, jamming with friends, hunting, football, and his beautiful Big Deck Ranch in Inkom, ID. It was his love of music that led him to Nashville to sing and play guitar with Kitty Wells and Willie Nelson. He retired from the Local 648 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union after 30 years. Everyone that knew him enjoyed his great sense of humor.
The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers to please contribute to either cancer research or St. Jude's Children.
