Jana "Denae" Yearsley, 52, passed away after a long and hard battle with cancer on Thursday, December 13, 2018, surrounded by the family that she loved.
She was born April 24, 1966 to Lennard and Elaine Bradley in Pocatello, Idaho. She grew up there, attending the schools and graduating from Highland High School in 1984. She attended college at Idaho State University and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Elementary Education. On July 28, 1990, she married James Earl Yearsley in the Salt Lake Temple and they have 4 wonderful boys: Braelin (Bekah Whitham), Kaedin (Charlie Green), Taysen, and Jayten. She was a wonderful mother and she loved her boys so much. Family was the most important thing in her life.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings in Primary, Young Women's, and Relief Society.
She loved teaching and taught first grade at Tyhee Elementary for 23 years and was dedicated to her craft. She seldom missed school until this last month when she was too ill to be there. She was still at home working on lesson plans and grades, missing and worrying about her class.
She was so willing to serve. Whenever help was needed she was the first to volunteer, but never asked for help herself. She loved yard work and being outdoors. She loved giving gifts and is remembered for her homemade gifts and cards. She always had her camera and took pictures at all events.
She is survived by her parents, her sister Lynele (Travis) Brasher, her half-brother Kirk (Julie) Bradley, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is missed by everyone.
Her life will be celebrated on Thursday, December 20,2018 at 11:00 AM at the Chubbuck 2nd Ward Building on the corner of Chubbuck and Hawthorne, with a viewing prior to the service from 9:45-10:45 AM. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, December 19, from 6-8 PM at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 West Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck Idaho.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Denae Yearsley Memorial Fund at Idaho Central Credit Union.
