POCATELLO " Delores Marlene Hampson, 74, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, in the home of her daughter Linda.
She was born August 25, 1935, in Mackay Idaho, to Perry Hallburt and Mable Johnson Hallburt.
Delores spent her childhood in Leslie Idaho. She was always full of funny stories about her childhood and had very fond memories of it. She talked often of her father's bull and the other farm animals. She loved animals and was always rescuing cats and dogs in need. She would have brought any wild animal home that needed help if she could have.
Delores loved music. She sang and played the piano. She loved and had a great talent for oil and tole painting. She also loved camping and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed many different types of books. However, she cherished her scriptures and enjoyed the time she spent studying them.
While living in Florida, she met and married her eternal companion Harry Edward Hampson. They were married on December 11, 1955 in Pascagoula Mss. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple for time and all eternity on July 1, 1967.
Delores was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. During her life, she served in many callings for the church and loved them with all her heart. She worked many hours on genealogy and because of it, has blessed her family both past and present.
Delores is survived by four of her six children. Shirlee McInelly of Idaho Falls, Harry Hampson Jr. of Chubbuck, Juliene Kraupie of Pocatello and Linda Stalnaker of Chubbuck; five grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and one Great-granddaughter and one sister Shirley Barrett of Roy UT.
