Adelbert Alonzo Lott, A.K.A. Delbert Lott, 86, of Pocatello, ID, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 26, 2010, in the comfort of his home being given loving care. He was born in Ucon, Idaho on October 6, 1924, to "Lon" and Ruby Lott as the eldest of 12 children. He has lived in Ucon, Idaho Falls, Mud Lake, Blackfoot, and Pocatello, Idaho. He graduated from Roberts High School in 1942. Delbert married Shirley Jemmett on November 13, 1951 and together raised seven sons. They were later divorced. He married Darlene Littleford Floyd on Sept 3, 1989, who for 21 years was not only a loving wife, but a caregiver in his last years. Delbert owned and operated his own trucking company and for several years also owned and operated a dairy. His business provided coal to various communities and also transported hay and agriculture commodities to many of the surrounding states. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Delbert loved the gospel and searching the scriptures. He served one full time mission as a young man and he and Darlene served another full time mission to Canada. They also were called to several service missions. Delbert was an avid reader and handyman. He enjoyed being a grandfather and mingling with all of his grandchildren and often attended their sports and other activities. He is survived by his wife Darlene of Pocatello; son Don Lott of McCall, Idaho; son Del Lott of McKinney, Texas; son Lon Lott of Alpine, Utah; son Bert Lott of Las Vegas, Nevada; son Darwin Lott of Providence, Utah; son Brian Lott of Blackfoot; step-daughter Jean Kunz of Pocatello; step-daughter Nadean Williams of Pocatello; step-daughter Janet Semons of Pocatello; sister Ruby Mitchell of Monteview, Id; brother Elden Lott of Rexburg; LaMon Lott of Kerns, Ut; brother Milton Lott of Austin, Tx; brother Ralph Lott of Colville, Wa; brother Ben Lott of Leeds, Ut; brother Arlo Lott of Jerome, Id; sister Helen Lowder of Idaho Falls; 38 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents "Lon" and Ruby; brother Phil Lott; brother DeMar Lott; brother Seth Lott; son Al Jay Lott; grandson Michael Lott; and grandson Richard Karlson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, October 30, 2010, at the LDS 26 th Ward Chapel on the corner of Hawthorne and Eldredge in Pocatello. A visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Friday, October 29, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave, and also one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
