Delbert Jepsen Seamons

Delbert Jepsen "Bud" Seamons, 89, of Pocatello, passed away on February 23rd, 2020 in Pocatello, Idaho.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 28th, 2020 from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 550 West Cedar Street, Pocatello, Idaho. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 starting at 11:00 a.m., with a viewing prior to the funeral service from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Burial will follow at the Mink Creek Cemetery, Mink Creek, Idaho beginning at 2:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilks Funeral Home in Chubbuck, Idaho.

Bud was born in Mink Creek, Idaho to Elsie Lucille Jepsen Seamons and Delbert Bennett Seamons on February 24th, 1930. He attended school in Mink Creek, Idaho and Preston, Idaho. Bud married Florence Twila Daley on February 8th, 1957 in Preston, Idaho. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a 2 year mission in Copenhagen, Denmark, as well as a 1 year mission with his sweetheart (Mom) at the Bishop Storehouse in Pocatello. He worked as a Telephone Line/Repairman for Mountain Bell, retiring in 1984.

He then went to work at the INL for Alan Howard at PhoneCom for about 10 years and then worked with his good friend, Paul Stubbs, for D&J Auto Recovery. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Bennett Seamons and Elsie Lucille Jepsen Seamons; brother Blair Jepsen Seamons; brothers-in-law Rodney Jensen and Don Hansen; son-in-law John R. Taylor; granddaughter Tessa Jo Stanger; and great grandson Cooper McCoy Moses.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Florence Twila Daley Seamons; two sons Jimmie M. (Lorrie) Seamons of Weston, Idaho, Seth Delbert (Lorinda) Seamons of New Plymouth, Idaho; daughter Joni (Dennis) Anderson of Pocatello, Idaho; sister Virginia Seamons Jensen Hansen of Smithfield, Utah; brother Scott (Cathy) Seamons of Mink Creek, Idaho; sister-in-law Janet Seamons of Preston, Idaho; Eleven grandchildren, Gina (Chris) Tripp, Kim (Brandon) Lowe, Trisha (Dustin) Smith, Tad (Sheena) Seamons, Tyler Seamons, Mandy (Clifford) Gann, Jessica (Bryan) Moses, Kendon Delbert (Valerie) Seamons, Jake (Isabel) Johnson, Tara Jo (Ethan) Browning, Shawn (Nicole) Stanger, Christopher (Katie) Taylor, Stephanie Taylor, and 45 great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Jim and Chris Auger, the Cedar Ward Relief Society, Neighborhood neighbors, Daryl and Kathleen Fullmer, Signature Home Health and Hospice, their employees, Clint, Theresa, McKayla, Kim and Ashley, for their compassion and service.

The family would also like to give a heartfelt thanks to all of the family and for the endless hours of love, dedication and service by grandsons Jake Johnson and Shawn Stanger.
