Deborah Simpkins

Deborah Renee Simpkins, 45, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at a medical center in Utah. Debbie was born on January 31, 1972 to Walter and Janice Simpkins. She was raised in American Falls, Idaho graduating from American Falls High School. She moved to Pocatello around the age of 26. Early in life she worked in housekeeping, as a waitress and a bartender. Later, she became a wonderful and amazing full-time mother and cherished grandmother. Debbie was baptized into the Mormon Church, converting to Christianity. Debbie loved playing with her grandchildren, reading and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles. She was a collector of Teddy Bear knickknacks and Minnie mouse items. She loved dogs and was involved in the rescue of Pit bulls. She always appreciated a challenge in everything. Debbie was always willing to help those in need. She is survived by her mother, Janice Simpkins, American Falls, ID; sisters, Carol Batterton, American Falls, ID, Charlotte Pease, Shelley, ID; brothers, Joseph Simpkins, American Falls, ID, Randy Simpkins, Spokane, WA, Willis Simpkins, Pocatello, ID, David Simpkins, Guam; sons, Michael Simpkins, Christopher Simpkins, both of Pocatello, ID; daughters, Michelle Simpkins, Amanda Simpkins, Shannon Midthun, all of Pocatello, ID; and 6 grandchildren. Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Walter Simpkins; sister, Anita Banta; and uncle, Richard (Gene) Simpkins. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11 am at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
