Deanne K Jenks

January 20, 1945 — November 13, 2015

Deanne K. Jenks, 70, formerly of Wellsville, UT, passed back through the veil and returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Friday the 13 th at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Pocatello, Idaho, surrounded by her loving family. Deanne was born in Los Angeles, CA, to Steve M. and Alice A. Kennedy. Deanne attended Bonneville High School. She was married and sealed to her eternal companion and love of her life, Donnie L. Jenks, on December 15, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Deanne was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed many church callings. Deanne enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and many others, as well as midnight shopping sprees or going to scary movies with anyone who would go. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends. Deanne is survived by her husband, Donnie Jenks, Pocatello, ID; children, LaDawn Jenks, Lava Hot Springs, ID, Scott Jenks, Inkom, ID, Sheri (Jon) Thomas, Smithfield, UT, Dean (Twyla) Jenks, Hyrum, UT, Bryan Jenks, Smithfield, UT, Andrea (Justin) Stewart, Pocatello, ID, DelLene (Brandon) Balls, Inkom, ID; 25 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, with 3 more precious souls blessed to be able to spend a short time with their great-grandma; sister, Carolyn (Gordon) Affleck, West Haven, UT; and brother: Dennis (Rita) Kennedy, Ogden, UT. Deanne was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 6:30 to 8:00pm at the Idaho State Veterans Home, 1957 Alvin Ricken Dr. Pocatello Idaho 83201, in the chapel. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 11 am at the McCammon LDS Stake Center, 403 W. 16th St. McCammon, Idaho 83250, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at the Inkom Cemetery, Inkom, Idaho. We would like to thank the staff at the Idaho State Veterans Home in Pocatello for the loving care shown to both mom and dad.
