David Peter O'Brien

August 8, 1949 — January 14, 2013

David Peter O'Brien, 63, Pocatello, passed away Monday morning, January 14, 2013, at a local medical center with his loving family at his side.

Dave O'Brien was born in Butte Montana, on Aug. 8, 1949, to Dan and Helen O'Brien. Dave grew up in Pocatello with his parents and two sisters, Danielle and Maureen. In 1966 they all moved to Twin Falls, Idaho. That's where Dave met Jean Marie Johnstone, they married in December of 1968 and moved back to Pocatello where Dave attended Idaho State University. Dave and Jean had two kids, Dawn and Mike. Dave served his country during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany for two years.

After the military Dave returned to Pocatello where he worked for Billmeyers Auto Parts as the manager. Dave and Jean were later divorced. Dave then met Toni Marie Burnside and they married in 1986. Dave and Toni had two kids, Dan and Jake. Dave purchased Advanced Auto Parts where he owned and operated for many years with his family. Dave then went to work for Geff's Manufacturing
where he worked as the Purchasing Manager.

Dave enjoyed traveling, camping, boating, 4-wheeling, working on cars and most of all spending time with his family and friends. Dave will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and his laid back attitude.

Dave is survived by; his wife Toni O'Brien; daughter, Dawn O'Brien of Salt Lake City, UT; three sons, Mike (Laura) O'Brien of Tracy, CA, Dan O'Brien of Boise, ID, Jake O'Brien of Twin Falls, ID; and two sisters; Danielle (Dave) Frazier of Twin Falls, ID and Maureen Walker of Twin Falls, ID.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents Dan and Helen O'Brien.
