David Leon Byington

David Leon Byington, 60, of Pocatello went peacefully to be with the Lord on January 29, 2016. He was born on October 17, 1955, the son of Homer and Norma (Anderson) Byington, who preceded him in death. Dave was born and raised in Southeastern Idaho, he left and lived in the Wenatchee, Washington area most of his adult life, returning to Pocatello for the last three years of his life.

Dave had two sons, Scotty and Billy Byington, from a previous marriage and a son Donny Byington from a previous marriage. He was in a relationship with Brook West at the time of his passing.

Dave is survived by Scott (Michelle) Byington, Billy (Bethany) Payne Byington, both of the Wenatchee area and Donny Byington of the Idaho Falls area. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, all of the Wenatchee area. His sisters and brothers are Beth Lilinquist, Pat Gabrylczyk, Mike (Kathie) Byington, Bill (Annette) Byington, and Ellen (Bryan) Killam.

Dave was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, camping and just being outdoors. He worked in the apple industry in Wenatchee as a truck driver, mechanic and numerous other tasks. He had also studied at Idaho State University.

David chose to be cremated and his ashes scattered in a rose garden. The family will have a celebration of life in the summer of 2016, date and time will be announced to family and friends. The family would also like to recognize Brook and his niece, Alice Marzano, for being present at his bedside in his last moments.
