David J. Martin

David John Martin passed away March 5th, 2019 at Portneuf Medical Center, Pocatello, Idaho.

David was born March 17th, 1948 in Rupert, Idaho to Ralph and Donna Martin. He graduated from Oakley High School then attended Idaho State University majoring in drafting and design. He was working for The State Highway when he was drafted into the U.S Navy in 1969. He served our country until 1973. David worked as a QEC at the site and Bechtel Corp. In November, 1993 he married Cindy Ann Mundt of Alliance, Nebraska.

David enjoyed being outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping, and boating were just a few activities he enjoyed. He could often be found on his Harley as well. Once his riding days were over he could always be found at his grandchildren's activities and sporting events.

David is survived by his wife, Cindy Ann Martin of Pocatello; his son, Greg (Stephanie) Martin of Elko NV; his son, Ray (Lindsey) Ryerson of Chubbuck; his sister, Peggy (Randy) Moore of Chubbuck; grandchildren, Crystal (Donny) Dancliff, Daulton Martin, Mikayla Parkinson, Kylie Martin, Kason Ryerson, and Wyatt Ryerson; great-grandchild, Olivia Dancliff.

A viewing will be held Thursday, March 7th, 2019 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Wilks Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 8th, 2019 at 11:00am at The Basin Cemetery in Oakley, Idaho.
