David Blair Jeffries, 78, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021. He was born on January 1, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio to David Edwin Jeffries and Francis Elizabeth McAllister Jeffries.
As a young child, David moved to American Falls attending schools there, he then attended Idaho State University in Pocatello. David enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving in Florida and Guam. He lived in Boise, Idaho for 32 years.
On September 30, 1965, David married Carol Sue Burns. He was the father of two daughters, Tanya Betty and Julie Hill.
David worked at Western States Equipment in Boise for 20 + years. His prior employment was with MK Company in locomotive mechanics. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
David’s greatest interest were his kids and grandkids, fishing and boating. He loved gardening, specifically tomatoes! He loved unplanned road trips, reading when health allowed, and he loved working on cars, the older the better.
David is survived by his wife, Carol Sue Jeffries; brother, Jim (Carol) Jeffries; sister, Mary (Leo) Vansickle; daughters, Tanya (Ray) Betty, and Julie (Kelly) Hill; grandchildren, Melissa (Sam) Whitworth, Alicia (Jerron) Berrett, and Briar Hill; great-grandchildren, Easton and Bentley Whitworth, and Kamden and Gavin Berrett; and fur child, Harley (David’s son).
The family will hold private graveside services, with Military Honors.
