Darrow Francis Phillips, 86, of Fort Hall, Idaho died Sunday May 13, 2012 at Portneuf Medical Center.
Darrow was born on May 7, 1926 to Junius Francis and Artie Elizabeth Cole Phillips in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in a little town 50 miles east of Yuma called Roll. He graduated in 1944 and shortly after served in the Army Air Corp. He lived in Texas, Arizona Desert and Coeur ‘dAlene, Idaho.
Darrow was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions. He was a mechanic most of his life, working on farms. He enjoyed woodworking, horses and traveling.
He is survived by his children, Lynnita Riddle; Timothy Kevin Phillips; Randy Phillips; Janet Hilkemeyer; Greg (Lorna) Phillips; Kathy (Doyle) Ricks; Michelle Phillips and Michael (Michelle) Phillips; 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his siblings, Kenneth, Nora, Ruth and L.J.
