Dan Beecher Raney

Dan Beecher Raney, 76, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2020 at his home in Pocatello, Idaho.

Dan was born on November 6, 1943 in Tarrant County, Texas to Roy Raney and Mildred Baker. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. Dan married Julie Farrar Williams in 1982 in Pocatello, Idaho. They had been married for 38 years at the time of his passing.

Dan worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 43 years and retired in 2005. Throughout his life, Dan enjoyed fishing, goose hunting, and wild game hunting. One of his favorite things to do was deep sea fishing in Oregon on the mouth of the Columbia River. Dan and his family have many fond memories fishing in Oregon.

Dan is survived by his wife, Julie; sons Daniel Raney and Michael Raney; stepchildren Katrina Pustorino, Shantel (Jack) Schmidt, Dalyn Pfeaster and Deric (Melissa) Williams; sister Ilene; as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Following his wishes, Dan will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
