Murrin Dale "Dale" Clemens, 75, of McCammon, passed away Friday, April 1, 2011 while doing one of his favorite things which was grading roads. Dale was born in Burns, Wyoming May 7, 1935 son of William and Mary Lucene Clemens. He graduated from American Falls High School, class of 1955. After graduation he enlisted in the US Army and received an honorable discharge as a Sergeant. He was stationed in Dachau, Germany for 3 years where he learned to love the country and the people. Dale married and settled down and raised several families and had three beautiful children, Charles, Lorrie and Lena. He later married Mary Lou Huber June 14, 2003. Dale lived in Salmon, Springfield, American Falls, and finally McCammon, Idaho. He worked for the State of Idaho for 20 years and Falls Irrigation for over 20 years. Dale liked hunting and fishing and he was an original American picker. He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Clemens, McCammon, Idaho, daughters, Lorrie Renae Rash (John) of Buhl, Lena Kay Paulk (Alex)of Shelley, sister Nola Orr (Leigh) of Blackfoot, grandchildren, Chaune', Sara, Franklin, Jonathan, Joel, Jessica, also Shawntelle, Amy and Christopher, and numerous great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his son, Charles Dale Clemens and his parents. A lot of people were proud to think of him as, and call him, Dad. They include Donna Welborn of Stanwood Washington, Darrel and Adrian Prophet, Cindy Gunter, Sheila Dahl, and Shanda Milles. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren abound and will miss him. Richard's hero, our knight in shining armor, has gone home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. A viewing will be held from 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Monday, April 4, 2011 at Colonial Funeral Home and from 1:00 - 2:00 PM just prior to the services.
