FORT HALL - Cyril Randolph Farris, 87, Fort Hall, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Portneuf Medical Center. He was born September 20, 1923 in Pensacola Florida. Cyril was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Gladys Farris, siblings Darlene, Ramona, and Sam, four daughters, one son, and one grandson. He is survived by two sisters, Laura Powers and Arvella Case three daughters; Dorothy Murphy, September Myres, and Jami Farris. Nine grandchildren; Jennifer, Jack, Cyleene, Jeannette, Michael, Ozzy, Ryan, Vashti, Elizabeth and six great-grandchildren; Jeremy, Tommy, MJ, Franky, Tristan and baby Gollob. Cyril served in the United States Army from 1943-1945, including serving overseas in World War II. He married his lifelong love, Gladys Elizabeth on November 10, 1942. Cyril operated his own tree trimming and landscaping business for many years before retiring. Cyril loved his family and remained intimately involved with the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren up until the time of his passing. He led a very active life and is a member of the Shoshone Bannock Tribes. He is lovingly remembered by all who knew him and will be terribly missed by his family and friends. Family and friends will gather Monday, May 30, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Mission in Fort Hall, Idaho.
