Craig Bedford Lynn

August 7, 1944 — July 26, 2014

Craig B. Lynn of Pocatello, Id passed away Saturday 7-26-2014 from complications of a brain tumor.
Craig was born 8-7-1944 in Pocatello, Idaho the second son to Willard J. Lynn and Anna Blanche Hansen Lynn.
In Craig's youth his family moved often throughout Idaho and Colorado, but they finally settled in Pingree, ID. During this time Craig and his siblings worked the various farms that their parents owned, but it was in Pingree that Craig came to know that the "home place" that his parents purchased was not just a farm but was truly home for the Lynn family. It was there that Craig's mom and siblings worked together to build their house, Willard worked to support the family, and they all worked to create the farm. The home place is where Craig and his sibling not only grew up but grew into the successful and loving family that they are today.
In 1965 Craig joined the Air Force and spent one year in Vietnam. In 1968, while stationed at Luke Air Force Base in Phoenix, AZ, Craig met Judy Phillips. They were married on September 7, 1968. They had two children: Dean Lynn who was born in 1969 and Cheri Lynn who was born in 1970. Craig and Judy were later divorced. After Craig was discharged from the Air Force they made their home in Pingree, ID where he worked for a short time at the Union Pacific Railroad. During this time, Craig rediscovered his love for building and started Lynn's Contracting and moved to Pocatello, ID. Within a few years Craig was able to return to the Pingree area where he built a successful purebred cattle breeding program. While farming and ranching he was able to pursue his passion concerning John Deere tractors and Chevy pickups.
In 1987 he met Josalyn Petty who has been his best friend and companion for the last 27 years. They spent their time together traveling, camping, and experiencing the world unfold around them in a manner of which most people can only dream. Josalyn's two children, Mike and Traci, became a part of Craig's family to the extent that they were as his own children.
Craig is survived by his true love Josalyn Petty, his children Dean Lynn (LuVera), Cheri Lynn, Mike Petty, and Traci Lambson (Garth). Craig's grandchildren are Skyler (Taneisha), Bailey, Dillon (Kylie), Makenzie and Chandler Lynn; Remy, Sloan, Tadhg and Tiarnaigh Lambson; Megan, and Josh Petty; and two great children. Craig is also survived by brothers Jeffery Lynn (Carolyn) and Jack Lynn (MaryAnn), sisters Claude Oren (Vernon), Sandy Lynn, and Janice Nelson (Terry), and several nieces and nephews that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents Willard and Blanche Lynn and his nephew Christian Lynn.
Funeral services for Craig will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W. Chubbuck Road, with Bishop Steven Nielsen conducting. A viewing will be held from 12-12:45PM prior to the services at the funeral home. The interment will follow at Springfield Cemetery, near Pingree with Military Rites provided by Aberdeen American Legion Post 59 and the Idaho National Guard.
