Corabel Smalley

August 8, 1932 — July 13, 2020

Corabel Catherine Smalley, was born on August 8, 1932 in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Benjamin Frank Frame and Catherine Sweetland Frame. She passed away July 13, 2020. Corabel married her sweetheart on June 8, 1948. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage together. They had eight beautiful children: Linda, Mike, Terry, Pat, Bert, Nancy, Wayne, and Kevin. Corabel and Roy raised their eight children in Hagerman, Idaho. She was dedicated as one of Jehovahs Witnesses in December of 1960. The most important part of Corabels life was her love for Jehovah her Creator and Heavenly Father. She spent many hours sharing Bible truths with a variety of people. She belonged to The Pocatello Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. Many knew Corabel not by that name but by a variety of nicknames including Corky and Honey. She adopted the nickname Honey from her loving husband, but it stuck because that was all her first great-grandchild wanted to call her. She was always busy with taking care of her children, helping her husband run a farm or making meals for many of the families around her. She loved to read and watch her Western Movies. After moving into the nursing home, Monte Vista, she was adopted as a grandma by many of the nursing staff who worked so hard to take care of her, and they loved her as their own family. She had a way of making you feel like you were part of her own family, and a way of putting you at ease and making you feel welcomed even if you had just met. She especially loved her sons-in-law, and daughters-in-law. She is survived by her daughters, Terry Dugan and Nancy Mills. Along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Smalley; her sons, Mike, Pat, Bert, Wayne and Kevin; and her daughter, Linda. Her love for Jehovah and faith in the resurrection is what provided her with comfort in her last days. She will be deeply missed. Always in our hearts and always in our minds. The love and happiness that she gave everyone around her will never be replaced or forgotten. There will be no services held at this time. When Life was at its hardest And worry was at its best She left us all behind And went to take a rest- How we wish she were with us For well miss her laugh and smile But it seems we hear her whisper "Ill see you after awhile-" And it seems she says "Take Courage For life is full of strife, Hold your heads up high And live a better life- And when this system is over And we no longer have to wait Come on over, Ill be waiting Please be waiting by the gate."
