Clothilda Ponzo

July 14, 1958 — August 4, 2022

Clothilda Ann Ponzo also known as Claude, was born in Pocatello, Idaho, on July 14, 1958 and passed in Pocatello, Idaho on August 4, 2022 at a local skilled nursing facility from health issues. She grew up on the Fort Hall Indian Reservation and lived on the reservation for the majority of her life. She went to school at Tyhee Elementary and Hawthorne Junior High and later went to school in Brigham City, Utah at Intermountain Inter-Tribal High School which she graduated from.

Claude worked for recreation, as a summer youth worker, as a florist at a local florist shop and later the Fort Hall Casino where she worked in the Inventory department for bingo for 20 + years.

Some of her favorite things to do were to meet new friends, bead, joke around, going to Indian relays, powwows, and ceremonial events and anything that had to do with family. She tried to help where she could when it was possible for her.

We would like to thank Symbii Home Health and Hospice, the family that she gained at Monte Vista skilled nursing, and the caring nurses at Portneuf Medical Center.

Claude is survived by her brother, Edgar Ponzo; children, Venitta Two Eagles (Joe Sanchez), and Julian Ariwite; nephews, Steven Ponzo, and Bryan Ponzo; grandchildren, Owen L. Todakozie, Katelyn S. Todakozie, Juan J. Sanchez, and Lola K. Sanchez; great granddaughter, Octavia S. Todakozie; and various other grandchildren, adopted grandchildren, cousins (brothers and sisters) and nephews and nieces.

Ballard; paternal grandparents, Harry and Dolly (Waterhouse) Ponzo; maternal grandparents, Julius and Katie (Hill) Ballard; sister, Mavis Ballard; great granddaughter, Stormy R. Todakozie; and numerous aunts and uncles as well as cousins.
