FORT HALL-Clint Cole Ballard, 45,of Fort Hall, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011. He was born on March 20, 1966 in Pocatello, Idaho to the late Wilford & Leota (Ponzo) Ballard, Sr. He was married to Etta Tsosie and later divorced, born to their union was one daughter Calandra Lloydessa Ballard. Education include Tyhee Elementary, Hawthrone Jr. High School, Shoshone-Bannock Jr./Sr. High. He attended National Truck Driving School in Denver, CO (receiving his CDL). Certified 25+ years, worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator, a welder, also was a member of the Sho-Ban Strike Team. He received several awards and certificates in safety and hazardous materials, working throughout the Northwestern States. He enjoyed hunting, spearing fish, traveling, gambling, networking, softball, traditional ceremonial dances, playing horseshoes and spending time with family and friends. Survived by one daughter, Calandra; a companion, Kimberly McKewan; a brother, Wilford "Salad" Ballard, Jr.; two sisters, Ilene A. Williams and Tonea L. Moss all of Fort Hall, ID; one adopted brother, Wayland L. Ballard of Toppenish, WA; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Uncle Willard Ballard; aunts, Minerva Osborne, Ivalee Osborne and Ella Sambo. He was preceded in death by his parents and numerous other family members. Clint will be laid in state at the Ballard residence on North Rio Vista Road, between Reservation and Ballard Roads, from Wednesday 11:00 A.M. to Saturday 2:00 P.M. Burial will take place in the Cedar Cemetery at 2:00 P.M on Saturday. Cemetery is located at the West End of Reservation Road.
