Clifford Cecil Zielke

It is with a sad heart I say goodbye to my step-father of over 40 years. Cliff C. Zielke passed on February 5, 2022 at 8:20 a.m. at Grace Assisted Living in Chubbuck, Idaho. He was born in Cheyenne, Kansas to Minnie Andrews and George B. Zielke on March 11, 1934. So he lived almost 88 years in this wonderful world.  He married twice. First to Donna Zielke, they had 9 children who between them all made 31 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

With his second wife, Gloria (Stuart) Zielke (married 40 years) added 4 step-daughters, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 6 GREAT great grandchildren for a total of 14 kids, 46 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren for a grand total of 95 lives on earth for him!

A veteran from the Korean War, and a life time member of the LDS Church. He was a construction worker his whole life..clear up into his late 80s where he kept building a multicolor retaining wall at their trailer in Pocatello. He was using a chair and his walker to haul bricks. He would fall down and Mom would have to call firemen to lift him up. It happened so much the firemen decided to finish it, just so they didn’t have to pick his large body up he said. This tall, loud, large giant of a man will be missed by us all! Fly to Heaven in peace Cliff!

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Chubbuck 11^th Ward, 4773 Independence, Chubbuck, ID. Family will meet with friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Rd, and for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service in the Mountain View Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made toward the cost of a headstone for Cliff and Gloria at the "Tribute Fund" tab located above.
