Claudia Walter

POCATELLO - Claudia Johnson Walter, 67, of Pocatello, passed away on Friday, March 2, 2012, at a local hospital. She was born on September 29, 1944, in New Orleans, LA, to Amos and Veronica Rodriguez. She was raised in New Orleans and later Omaha while attending catholic schools from the first grade on. Claudia married William D. Johnson in 1963. He passed away in 1994. She married Robert Walter in 1996. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Community. Claudia was a previous owner of the Pocatello Speedway. She loved car races as well as fishing. She also loved going to Jackpot and Fort Hall. Most of all, she loved being with her family. She is survived by her husband Robert of Pocatello; daughter Marie Hodges of Pocatello; son Scott Johnson of Pocatello; son Jeff Johnson of Arimo; step-son Brandon Walter of Pocatello; brother Kirk Rodriguez of Pocatello; sister Veronica Williams of Omaha, NE; brother Kevin Rodriguez of Council Bluffs, IA; brother A.J. Rodriguez Jr of Pocatello; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband William; sons Willie Johnson and Thad Johnson; brother Kent Rodriguez.
