Clarence Nelson Perkins, 99, passed away peacefully on Friday December 10, 2010 at Rosetta Assisted Living Facility. Clarence was born June 29, 1911 in Altona, New York to Edward E. Perkins and Ina Hoxie Perkins.
Clarence married Mary Louise Stevenson and were blessed with a son, John. Mary passed away in 1984. Clarence then married Norma Day Perkins and together they enjoyed traveling for many years. Norma passed away just weeks ago on November 22, 2010.
Clarence was a tool and die maker for Art Craft Optical Co. and IBM in Rochester, New York. He moved to Pocatello during World War II to work as a supervisor at the Naval Ordinance Plant. He later went on to work for the City of Pocatello in August of 1954 as an inspector and retired after 22 years.
Clarence was a Master Mason in the Portneuf Lodge #18, as well as a member of the Ancient Order of Shriners.
Clarence is survived by; his son, John Richard (Linda) Perkins, Vancouver, WA; granddaughter, Heidi Perkins, Vancouver, WA; and Norma's daughters, Noralee (Martin) Petersen, Pocatello and Mary (Don) Vollmer, Lava Hot Springs, ID.
