Christopher Todd Averett, 46, passed away late Tuesday, November 20, 2018 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Chris was born February 23, 1972 in Pocatello, Idaho. He is the son of Randy and Barbara Averett. In his youth, Chris developed his love of motorcycles, camping, and everything outdoors. Chris graduated from Highland High School in 1990. After high school, Chris's love of working with his hands led him to become a certified master electrician, and was a member of IBEW. Chris married his high school sweetheart, Allison Burstedt. Chris and Allison have since divorced, but have three wonderful and kind children together; Kelsey, Bryson, and Kayden. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. He loved skiing, hunting, fishing, and off-road motorcycles. He was also skilled in carpentry and built his own home. He is survived by his three children, Kelsey (Jacob) Bickley, Bryson Averett, and Kaden Averett; his parents, Randy and Barbara Averett; brothers, Cory (Malea) Averett, Kelly (Katrina) Averett, and Colby (Teneille) Averett; and thirteen nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held. Services are under the care and direction of Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho. 208-233-1500.
