Christopher Loren Evans

February 26, 1983 — January 20, 2022

Christopher Loren Evans was born in Pocatello, Idaho on February 26, 1983 and passed away in Pocatello on January 20, 2022 from complications of COVID.

Christopher was the baby of the family and is survived by his parents David and Glenda Evans, and his siblings Ryan, Cammie, Kimberly (Shane), and Marcus (Stephanie). While he never married or had kids of his own, he had two nieces and four nephews that adored their Uncle "Chrisoffer". In addition, he is survived by a grandfather and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends that loved to spend time with him.

He grew up in Chubbuck, Idaho and graduated from Highland High School in 2001. He and one of his best friends, John Leith, then received an associate's degree in computer programming from Idaho State University College of Technology in 2007. He went on to have a successful career as an iPhone developer. For the last nine years Christopher was a valued member of the mobile development team at USANA Health Sciences in Salt Lake City, Utah. His career as a software developer was not just a career, but it was a hobby that allowed him to develop his own games and apps for the Apple App Store.

He was a foodie and a BBQ judge. He loved to bake with his nieces and nephews and BBQ on his smokers for his family, friends, and coworkers. He had his own rating scale for food it was something he obsessed over - his quest for the perfect cup of hot chocolate, the perfect Italian sandwich, the perfect crystal clear cube of ice...the perfect meal.

He had many diverse interests and hobbies. He was an amateur magician, played computer games with friends around the country, developed apps, and loved listening to all types of music (often singing sea chanties alone and with others). He was always up for an adventure with family and friends. He traveled to Germany, Italy, Toronto, Montreal, and numerous road trips across the United States. His travel photos would often include himself with Mr. Potato Head, because, he was from Idaho.

Christopher reveled in non-comformity with his curly hair and long dark beard. His signature look was shorts and a t-shirt, even in the middle of winter. And was quick to laugh, tease, and smile in photos.

He was an introvert and cherished his solitude (always in his cool basement), but was always willing step away to be with family and friends. He was a counselor, confidant, and support to his family, always willing to share his time and his resources to help wherever needed.

Christopher's impact in the lives of his family and friends was profound and he will be sorely missed.
