Christopher Lee Toop

Christopher Lee Toop, 42, of Pocatello, passed away on February 9, 2024. Chris was born on March 30,1981, to Gary Toop and Karen (Lowder) Smith. Chris grew up in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1999. Chris is survived by his two daughters, Emma Toop and Ana Toop; father and stepmother Gary and Julie Toop; mother and stepfather Karen and Brent Smith; brother Brian Toop; sisters Danielle Toop (Shawn), Shannon Smith, Amber Hill (Matt), and Natasha Bohm (Cody); stepsisters Amy Doyle (Jay), Candace Hardman, and Christina Johnson; grandmother Maxine Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Chris is proceeded in death by his grandparents Carol Lowder, Herold and Gloria Toop, Helmuth Toop, Dick Smith, and Gloria Shannon; aunt Mildred Segler.

Chris's two daughters meant the world to him. He loved spending time with them, doing whatever it was they wanted to do. He also enjoyed spending time with the rest of his family.

His daughter Emma wrote to her dad: I love you so much Dad, and I can't believe you're gone. It's too soon. You were, and will always be, my hero. I will miss the 10 thousand calls a day from you and all the text messages telling me and Ana to call you if we don't answer the call you sent us. I'll always remind myself of you through everything, and I'll always thank you for everything I accomplish throughout life. It's horrible to think I won't have you here to watch all the big accomplishments I'll have in life. I'll always love you Dad, and I wish I got to hear you say "I love you" one more time.

To our Baby Chris - we will miss laughing with you and talking to you. We had good times growing up, and those memories will always be with us. Until we see you again, know you were, and always will be, our baby brother. Love your big sister and big brother, Danielle and Brian.

To our big brother, thank you. You took your role very seriously. You were fiercely loyal, protective, caring, funny, and so loving. Before you had your own girls, we were your world, and we loved being "Chris' little sisters." Not many big brothers would include their 3 little sisters in their lives like you did, and we will always cherish those times together. Love always, Shannon, Amber, and Natasha.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Wilks Funeral Home, 211 W Chubbuck Road, Chubbuck, ID 83202 with a viewing one hour prior.
