Christopher David Lippie

June 29, 1976 — January 13, 2023

It is with great sadness and heavy heart that the family of Christopher Lippie announces his sudden, unexpected passing.

Chris began his life in the far away island continent of Australia where his parents were teaching school. When he was still just a baby, they all moved to the Pacific Northwest where Chris grew up. Redmond, Washington was his home. He was a 1994 graduate of Lake Washington High School.

After high school graduation, Chris began working for United Parcel Service. UPS is where he met Jamie, his former wife. His career ultimately took him to Pocatello, Idaho where he met his long-time girlfriend, Andrea, again through UPS. Pocatello is where he succumbed to a heart attack. He worked for United Parcel for 28 years.

Chris was a natural born traveler. He loved being on the road finding new places to explore. He went on many road trips with his family when he was young, and his love of travel adventures continued later with his own family. He had dreams of returning to Australia and traveling to Alaska. When Chris was young, and before he could drive, he got around by bicycle. He and his dad, along with his friend David, even rode from Seattle, Washington to Portland, Oregon on the famous yearly, 200-mile STP (Seattle to Portland) bicycle trip. Chris also loved to go camping and a tent was just his style. He loved relaxing around the campground with friends by the campfire or jumping into a cold river or lake on a warm day. Whether he was camping, traveling, or driving for UPS, his favorite music was his companion. He loved the band Tool and attended their concerts whenever he could. Chris loved the Seattle Seahawks football team and on game days, he loved watching the team win or lose with friends and a beer. Most of all, Chris loved his family. He was a devoted father to his four children. With his easy, friendly, kind nature, he made many friends during his life wherever he lived. He kept those friendships and relationships with those he loved close to his heart. He is greatly missed.

Chris was born to Joel and Jane Lippie in June of 1976 and is survived by his parents; his former wife, Jamie Alvarez Hi and their children Nathan, Ivazie, and Evanna; his current partner Andrea Ogolla and their son Axl; his sister Erin Lonski (Dan) and their six children; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews from his large, loving family.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Chris. One will be held in Pocatello, Idaho at Liberty Hall Event Center on February 4th from 2-5PM.

Memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association online.
