Pocatello

Christopher “Chris” James Anderson (52) passed away on August 11, 2024 at his home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Chris was born on January 4, 1972 in Granite Falls, MN.  At the beginning of his life, he lived in Minnesota and North Dakota.  Then, in 1985 his family moved to Pocatello, where he attended Irving Middle School and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1990.  Shortly after graduation, Chris moved to Hayfield, Minnesota where he spent 20 years working in the printing press industry.  Chris moved back to Pocatello in the Fall of 2012, where he worked for Virginia Transformer and then Petersen’s.

Chris loved the outdoors; he loved to hunt, fish, camp, and ride the side-by-side.  He also loved to golf and shoot guns with his brothers.  When he wasn’t playing outside, he was watching his favorite sports.  He loved the Minnesota Wilds and the Vikings. SKOL!

Chris is survived by his loving wife and sweetheart, Mindi; her children, Brian (Shelly) Chacon, Miranda (Danny) Hunter, along with inheriting 8 grandchildren, Danika, Donovan, Brooklyn, Boston, Zayden, Noah, Brynlee, Harper; his mother Terri (George) Colvill; siblings, Eric (Angie) Anderson, DJ Lilienthal, Beth (Mike) Christensen, Rachel Colvill; nieces and nephews Kylie (Neil), Mercedes, Dylan, Jett, Alexis, Aiden, Jordan; a great-niece Audrey; his aunts and uncles, Shelly, Tim, Todd and Cory, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lynn; grandparents Jim & Kathryn Hansen, Jim & Joyce Anderson; and his Aunt Janelle.

Chris will be remembered for how much he loved his family and friends, his kindness, and sarcastic sense of humor. Those who knew him loved him.

There will a celebration of life held Sunday, August 18th with close family and friends.

In lieu of sending flowers schedule your colonoscopy. That’s what Chris would want you to do.
