Christine Roberts

Christine Roberts, 71, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her home in Pocatello, ID. Christine was born on February 24, 1947 in Soda Springs, ID, to John (Pinky) and Afton Roberts. She lived her early years in Lava city center, moving to a ranch outside of Lava when she was 9 years old. She attended school at Lava Elementary up to 8 th grade and remained in Lava until the last few years of her life when she moved to Pocatello to live with her sister. Christine volunteered at a nursing home in Lava and at the Lava Senior Citizens Center. She was presented with the Presidents award for her volunteer service. She belonged to the Lava Community Church. She enjoyed doing puzzles, playing cards, rug making, golfing with her mom and fishing with her dad. She also enjoyed spending time at the Center Adult Day in Chubbuck, ID. Christine is survived by her sister, Paula Neeser; brothers, John David (Diane) Roberts, Paul Brent (Sheila) Roberts; many nieces, nephews and grand nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; many aunts and uncles; a niece, Kimberly Roberts; and a great-niece, Rainee Wiebelhaus. Services will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Lava Community Church, 118 Elm Street in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. There will a visitation on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home 2005 South 4 th Ave. in Pocatello, Idaho from 6-7 pm as well as one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will follow at the Lava Hot Springs Cemetery.
