Christine L. Kratzke

Christine Louise Kratzke, 47, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019. She was born on February 3, 1972 to Paul and Diane Kratzke, in Pocatello, Idaho, at the Bannock Memorial Hospital. She was raised in Pocatello, living here all her life. Christine attended Grace Lutheran, Franklin and Highland High School. She graduated from Idaho State University with a B.S. in Education. She worked different jobs putting herself through college. Her first job was babysitting; she then worked at McDonalds, the movie theater and at Fred Meyer. After college, she worked at the elementary education level as a counselor, then at Converges and ending her career with PSR. While in high school, Christine was a member of the band. She loved band and was active in marching band, jazz band; any band there was she was involved in it. Christine married Ken Burton and together they had a son, Tyler. They then divorced. She belonged to the Gate City Christian Church. Christine loved to make crafts and do cross stitching. She did this until her hands gave out on her. She also enjoyed playing board games with her friends and watching movies, movies and movies. She loved her dogs and cats. She had many over the years and they were treated like her "Children". Christine had a love for all children and they loved her. Wherever Christine was, they wanted to be right there beside her. They adored her and felt her love for them. The neighbor children would come to her house to visit her and her nieces and nephews loved spending time with her. She was loved by so many people. Christine is survived by her son, Tyler Kratzke of Pocatello, ID; mother, Diane Kratzke of Pocatello, ID; sister, Suzi Magee of Pocatello, ID, sister, Linda Lorenz of Lynnwood, WA, sister, Laura Jeffcoat of Pocatello, ID; brother, Paul Kratzke of Pocatello, ID; nieces and nephews, Timmy Andra, Brinne Remmen, Nichole Merkle, Nicolas Wright, Matthew Wright, Amber Price, Christopher Helterbrandt, Stephanie Jean and Scotty Jeffcoat. She is preceded in death by her father, Paul T.M. Kratzke; and nephew, Keith Henserson. Memorial services will be held on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 11 am at the Gate City Christian Church, 202 W. Siphon Rd. Chubbuck, Idaho, with Pastor Joshua Robinson officiating.
