Chas Buerstatte

d. January 2, 2019

Chas (Charles) Richard Buerstatte III Chas Buerstatte, 23, passed away January 2, 2019 in Pocatello, ID surrounded by family and friends. He was born July 19, 1995 in Pocatello, ID to Chuck and RaeAnne Buerstatte and big sister Cassidy. Chas lived his entire life in Pocatello/Chubbuck and loved all parts of his hometown. He attended Grace Lutheran School through 8 th grade and graduated from Century High School in 2013. He was a student at Idaho State University, studying Information Technology. He worked for Grace Lutheran School (the loved Mr. Chas), East Fork Bikes and most recently, Advantage Plus Credit Union. Chas had many titles."Uncle Chas" being his favorite. You couldnt ask for a better uncle, who loved and truly adored Micah and Monroe. He was a kid at heart, who played constantly, going on many adventures with them. He was the best "little-big brother" to his sister, watching out, protecting, helping or doing anything Cassidy needed. He was always there for her, having an unconditional love for his sister and they had bond like no other. He was an active member at Grace Lutheran Church and had an unwavering faith that he was proud to share. He was involved in Young Life, WyldLife and Grace Lutheran Church Youth Group. He was passionate about serving the youth, dedicating countless hours hanging out, playing games or just being there when they needed him. Chas lived life like he approached all parts of life, at full speed. He was an avid mountain biker, snow boarder, long boarder, golfer and pretty much anything outdoors. As a result of his fearlessness, Chas was well known at the Urgent Care centers in Pocatello and surrounding areas. He carried a mean Lacrosse stick and collected his fair share of penalty flags during his playing time. He loved cars and had a passion for working on them, including his Toyota pick-up and 68 Mustang. He was gifted with a wrench in his hand, and always ready to help. For the past ten years, he has been a monthly member of the C.A.R.S. ministry at Grace Lutheran Church working side by side with his dad and friends, helping fix cars on Saturdays for those in need. When friends had car issues, they called Chas. Chas was blessed with the gift of communication. There was not a person he met that he didnt like, or couldnt talk to. If they were a stranger in the beginning, they left as a friend. He loved all..and all loved him! His smile and personality always brightened up the room and everyone he came in contact with. Chas is survived by his parents, Chuck and Rae Anne Buerstatte; sister, Cassidy Lee; brother- in- law, Nate Lee; grandparents, Theron and Marilou Driever; grandfather, Allen Collins; great grandmother, Corleen Buerstatte; nephew, Micah Lee; niece, Monroe Lee; aunts, Judy Piper, Barbara Birdwell, Devri Rigby, Laura Buerstatte and Kristy Piper; uncles, Bill Piper, Rick Collins, and Greg Piper; and numerous cousins and friends.
