Charlyne Rose Sutton

d. March 25, 2018

Charlyne Rose Sutton was born June the 8th, 1944 to Bert H. and Maud Ellison Rose in Payson, Utah. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on the evening of March 25, 2018 surrounded by her children, ending a brief bout with cancer. Among her many angelic traits was the ability to put a smile, or at least a determined look on her face, no matter the situation. She was given many challenges during her life, but even during the most heart wrenching, she managed to persist in putting one foot in front of the other, trusting that her Heavenly Father knew what He was doing and where she was going. She humbly submitted to her many trials, proving to everyone around her that her heart was pure and that she not only knew the Plan, she accepted it gladly. She grew up in Blackfoot, ID, but lived in many different locations; touching hearts along her way. She loved flowers, and lived up to the name she bore as the most beautiful Rose in the garden. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ken Rose; her husband, Ernest Porter Sutton; and two sons, E. Durrell and Karl James Sutton. She is survived by her sisters, Peggy Ockerman, and Gloria Lowe (Kort); her brother, Mike Rose (Ruth Ann); her daughter, Traci, daughter, Kelley Packer (Duane), daughter, Stacy Johnson (Chris); and son, Bradley (Kathryn); as well as by her treasured grandchildren, Chelsea (Ryan), Ali (Jordan), Jayden (Lauren), Trevor (Jennifer), Mason, Connor, Dusty, Bryce, Nathan, Sadie, Karl, Maggie, Porter, Preston, Riley, Christian, and Emrie, along with three really great-grandchildren, Emma, Ronan and Hazel; and the rest of you that are reading this. Her life and faith were rooted deeply in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and she gave of herself freely by serving and caring about everyone she met. She consistently made it a priority to let people know that she loved them, even if she didnt yet know them. She spent hours making leper bandages, premature baby hats, and many, many blankets for humanitarian projects around the world. Her influence has been immeasurable and the lives she touched were infinite. Although she will be greatly missed, we hold fast to the knowledge that our family ties live on through the eternities, and that our reunion in Heaven will be filled with laughter and memories too big to die. We love you mom. A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, ID.
