Charles "Willy" Henry Robinson

d. June 5, 2017

Willie was born on January 3, 1934 in Pocatello, Idaho to Paul and Zella (Norton) Robinson in the old general hospital. He attended Pocatello schools and worked a short time at the Railroad. He then started his life time career with the City of Pocatello Street Department. He made many great friends and enjoyed his interaction with the public. After 34 years he retired. His memories include the flooding of the Portneuf River and the infamous Center Street underpass. Growing up he was a determined young man. He saw what he wanted and figured out how to get it. He had an attorney that told Willie, "What Willie wants, Willie gets". In his younger years he made many trips to the ranch in Arbon. There were numerous hunting trips during the years and the stories to go with them. He loved his grandma and grandpa Norton and uncle Ted and uncle Wayne. They had a great influence on his life. Willie and his wife, Nancy (Worth) Robinson raised six beautiful children; Robin, Kevin, Starla, Gary, Chuck and Valerie. Willie and his wife owned and operated Fairway Residential Care for approximately ten years. In 2004, they moved to Kingman, AZ. He made many great friends and did charitable works with the Moose Organization. In later years, hunting and camping trips with family and great friends back in Idaho, was always a wonderful experience. There was a lot of relaxing, visiting, and eating excellent food. We couldnt ask for more. The family Robinson reunions were always at the top of Willies list. Being with family and the excellent dishes was a joy to him. He is now having a heavenly family reunion, but his spirit is still with us, watching over us. When we call on the spirit of the Holy Ghost, we will be able to feel his spirit. Willie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was with the church cannery for ten years. It was an inspiring time in his life. His Home Teaching was always important to him. The families were in his prayers as well as the partners he had. Bishop Bywater was one of them. Willie was called home by Heavenly Father on June 5, 2017 in Kingman, AZ. It was a sudden transition for Willie and his family. Loved ones were waiting to welcome him home and we will have the opportunity to be with him again. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dory Benidetti; brother, Roy and son-in-law, Greg Beard. He is survived by his wife; children; sisters, Beverly Leighton, Shirley Purkett, Alice Lewis; and brother, Don (Jeanie); 11 grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He loved every one of these people very much. We all love you and miss you Willie.
