Charles Russell Wellard

Charles Wellard passed away at his home on January 23, 2022, with his family by his side.

He was born December 31, 1946, to Charles and Valere Wellard. Charles grew up mostly in Pocatello, Idaho and graduated from Marsh Valley High School in 1965. Shortly thereafter, he joined the Air Force, and served two tours in Thailand and Vietnam.

On July 29, 1966, Charles married Victoria Wellard. Together they enjoyed their two children, Stephani and Kevin.

Charles retired in 1987 from the United States Air Force after 21 years of service. After his retirement from the Air Force, Charles continued working until 2011 when he enjoyed a second retirement.

Charles enjoyed working on cars, history, reading, walking, and bowling.

He was preceded in death by both parents, Charles and Valere Wellard.

Charles is survived by his wife, Victoria Wellard; daughter Stephani (Joe) Preusser; son Kevin (Elena) Wellard; grandchildren Nikolas (Clarissa) Preusser, Steven (N’tirna) Preusser, Joey Preusser, and Anna Wellard; great-grandchildren Kasen, Anabel, Audrey, and Olive Preusser; and his siblings Stanley Wellard, Paul Wellard, Tina Barfuss, Tommy Wellard, Karen Aguilar, Bruce Wellard, and Teresa Brown.

Formal services for Charles will be held at a later date.
