Charles Cecil Kingston was born on April 24th, 1963, in Woods Cross, UT to Rachel Kingston and Merlin Kingston. He spent majority of his younger years in Blackfoot which they referred to as “The Desert.” He attended and graduated from Marsh Valley Highschool class of 1981. Charles married Christine Noorda in 1983, after 29 years they divorced. He then met Dianna Johnson in 2014 and fell in love with her for the remainder of his time on earth. Charles treated and viewed Dianna’s two children Kelsey and Matthew as his own and loved them dearly.
Charles began raising his family in Tremonton, Utah. He worked for Morton Thiokol building rocket boosters for space shuttles from 1984-1993. It was always his intention to raise his family in Lava Hot Springs where the majority of his immediate family resides. He successfully secured a job with Monsanto in 1993. This provided the opportunity for him to build his forever home and provide a joyous life for him and his family in Lava Hot Springs. He made many friends and memories throughout the 27 years of service at Monsanto. He then retired at the age of 56.
Charles enjoyed many things in life, but most dear to his heart was spending quality time with his loving family. This included taking them canoeing in the Jackson Hole area and frequent floats down the Portneuf river in Lava. Other hobbies that he enjoyed with his family were Steelhead fishing, camping, bowling, ice skating/hockey, playing the guitar, dirt bike rides, skiing, sleigh riding, family holiday celebrations, and playing blackjack. He prided himself in making it to all the grandkids’ school events and sporting activities.
Charles was well known for his ambitious work ethic, his genuine smile, and contagious giggly laugh. His pure kindness and positive energy made everyone thankful to be in his presence. He took great pleasure in making sure everyone was happy and had full bellies. He was a man of many talents and could fix anything. We will always remember him for his proclaimed patience, kindness, selflessness, willingness to give, and helping others with every given opportunity.
Charles was the youngest of nine siblings with six sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his mother Rachel Kingston, his three children Clinton Kingston (Tarese), Blake Kingston (Jordyn), Alyssa Kingston, and his six grandsons Braydan, Madax, Ryker, Kruze, Knoxx, and Nixyn.
Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the "Tribute Wall" tab above.
