Charlee April Hope was born in March of 2008 in Great Falls, Montana to Jason and Nicki Hope. Charlee left this earth far too early to go back to her Heavenly Father on December 15, 2023 at the age of 15. Throughout her short time here, because her father served in the military, she was able to travel with her family and live in several US states as well as in the UK. She was able to visit 12 countries throughout Europe while living overseas. She spent 3 years in primary school in England and picked up a cute British accent for a while.
She was a talented musician on the drums. Charlee was a gifted artist and created many digital works of art as that was her favorite medium. She had a love of art of all types, especially animation. She loved to see many art styles and cultivate her own style that way. Her art, charisma, and humor enriched everyone around her. She was the heart of the family.
She was a talented dog-trainer and animal lover.
She was a happy and very friendly child. She would make friends almost instantly anywhere she went. She had charisma and charm that would draw people in. She cared the most for her brothers. As her older brothers grew up and moved out, she became a tender carer for her younger brother and they were best friends.
Charlee passed after a long battle with clinical depression. Over the last several years of her life, she descended into mental health battles that became severe and extremely difficult. She fought as hard as she could for as long as she could.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dennis Hope.
She is survived by her parents, Jason Hope and Nicki Heiner Hope, younger brother Jackson Hope of Pocatello, older brothers James Hope who is a university student in Fairfax, VA and Jayden Hope who is a student at BYU Idaho. Grandmother Sharon Hope of Tooele, UT, Grandparents Dan and Laura Heiner of Chubbuck, 7 uncles and aunts and many cousins.
Charlee has left a hole in our hearts and lives that is incomprehensible. To say she will be greatly missed doesn’t begin to capture our feelings. We are extremely proud of Charlee and all she accomplished in her short time on earth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Cedar Hills Ward Chapel at 5425 Bannock Highway in Pocatello. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Pocatello. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family under the “Tribute Wall” tab above.
