Celia Klingenberg

Celia R. Klingenberg, 48, passed away June 18, 2013 at a local Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1964 in Blackfoot, Idaho daughter of William Frank Hill and Lawana Lucille Thompson Hill. Celia loved to go fishing, camping, and riding motorcycles especially when it was with the family. She could be happy fishing in a mud hole in a parking lot, so long as she was fishing and she would go at the drop of a hat. She also never met an infant or small child that she did not immediately fall for. This love for children was capitalized upon by the family on many camping excursions as she was the appointed babysitter, being left at camp to tend all the children while the parents and her elder brothers went off to play. Being barefoot and outside, whether tending to her plants, or fishing or camping was how she loved to spend her days. On June 27 1998, two sole mates were wed. She chose Ken Klingenberg to share her life with. Jason Klingenberg is the sole child the couple was blessed with. Truth be told, Jason is the one and true love of their lives. Celia worked long and hard in her younger days at any job she could find just to make certain her family had what was needed. Many times that meant she went without anything for herself. She would not complain nor brood upon this fact so long as she was providing for her own. She would only allow herself to be happy if at the end of the day she had done everything she was physically capable of doing in order to help someone else. Many were the times in her later years that she would help elderly folks or the single mother who needed a babysitter, or whatever anyone needed who had asked of her. She took such things on as a personal obligation and never wanted any compensation for her efforts. She did this until her body simply wore out. But that was not the end of helping people because she would always lend a sympathetic ear to those who chose to cry upon her shoulder. Celia is now in a place where she can fish, or hold a child in her arms, or do any and all of those things she dearly loved to do but her body would not allow. We all suspect that she is right now camped in the middle of the best darned huckleberry patch in all of heaven. Celia is survived by her husband Ken of Georgetown, son, Jason (Mickie) Klingenberg, Montpelier, a god son, Scott Thompson, parents, William and Lawana Hill, Montpelier, Idaho. Siblings, Thomas Mansfield, Lynn (Cherie) Mansfield, both of Pocatello, William Jr. (Ann) Hill, Soda Springs, Idaho, and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law Earl H. and Alice A. Klingenberg, of Illinois. A special Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm, July 13, 2013 at the Summit View campground, Left Hand Fork of Georgetown Canyon on the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. The group use areas are reserved July 12 - 13th, for family and friends to bring their campers, stay overnight and join Ken, Jason and the family in a celebration of Celia's life on Saturday.
