POCATELLO - Cecelia "Cookie" Louise Peterson Hill, 69, of Pocatello, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012, at her home. She was born in Butte, Montana to Harold James Peterson and Vivian Yvonne Cantrell on October 8, 1942. She spent the first part of her life in Montana. Cookie married Gail W. "Bill" Hill on March 5, 1979. She spent 33 years with her best friend and the love of her life. She loved to cook and bake for her family. She also loved fishing and the mountains. She also loved to crochet for everyone as well as donated crocheted items to the cancer clinic and neonatal unit. She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She was loved very deeply. She is survived by her husband Gail "Bill" Hill of Pocatello; daughter Connie Watkins of Ogden, UT; son Keith (Michelle) Sant of Evanston, WY; son Paul Sant of Helena, MT; daughter Laurie (Don) Snowball of Layton, UT; son Dale Sant of Pocatello; sister Joan Schmidt of Fleming, CO; sister Linda (Tom) Paulsen of Libby, MT; brother Don (Joni) Peterson of Provo, UT; brother Wayne (Kathy) Peterson of Coeur D'alene; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 day old brother Harold James, brother Kenneth Peterson, and grandson Mark Owens. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4th Ave. The service will be informal and anyone who would like to share memories is welcome. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery immediately following the services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the charity of your choice.
