Cathy Lynne Kestler

June 4, 1962 — November 30, 2012

Cathy Lynne Kestler was born in Star Idaho, June 4th, 1962 to Walt and Evelyn Whitmire. She was raised in Nampa, Idaho and Salt Lake City, Utah.

Cathy eventually moved to Pocatello with her family where she met her husband Dan Kestler; they were married for 30 years and shared four beautiful children. After marrying into the Navy life, she began a journey that took her to Washington, Texas, California, and Missouri, and then back to the place she called home, Pocatello Idaho.

Cathy loved being a mom and grandmother; she was very good at both. Family was very important to her and it was always her priority. She really looked forward to family get-togethers where she got to cook and spend quality time with her family. She also loved to dance, especially on her nights out with friends. She spent a lot of time at the bowling alley, bowling with family on many leagues and participated in many tournaments.

Cathy is survived by her parents Walt and Evelyn Whitmire, her husband Dan Kestler, her three sisters Larryce Whitmire, Cody Hite and Lori Utley, and her four children Mindy (Tom) Baumgardner, Justin (Samantha) Kestler, Michael Kestler, Aneka Johansen and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

We would like to give a special thanks to Jan and Ericka from Access Home Care and Hospice who became like family. We really appreciate all they did for Cathy and the family.
