Catherine "Cathie" B. Pepper, 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at a care facility in Pocatello, Idaho.
Catherine was born May 19, 1935, to Tom and Myrtle McClendon in Branson, Colorado.
On April 3, 1955, she married Charles E. Pepper in Raton, New Mexico. They were married for 62 years. Together they had two children, Valarie K. and Coy A. Pepper.
Cathie worked at many jobs throughout her life, but the one she was most proud of was her work as the Deputy Treasurer of Gooding County for over 25 years.
Cathie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crafting and shopping.
Cathie is survived by: her daughter, Valarie (Paul) Petersen of Pocatello; granddaughter, Kristene R. Petersen; great-grandsons, Baylor J. and Dempsey P. Henderson of Victor, Idaho; her son, Coy (Connie) Pepper of Winnemucca, NV; granddaughter, Jamie Pepper of Winnemucca, NV; sister, Joann Banks of Seattle, WA; brother Tom McClendon of Pauldin, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
Cathie was preceded in death by: her husband, Charles, her parents and sister, Margaret Wilder.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at Quinn Meadows Nursing Home, Dr. Mills and the staff at Heritage Hospice for the loving care they gave Cathie during the last stages of her life. The family also expresses their deep gratitude and appreciation to Jill Bright for her love and care of Cathie over the past three years. Jill, you made her days brighter by loving her and being there with her.
As per Cathie's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Hagerman Senior Center 140 E. Lake St. in Hagerman, Idaho. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wilks Funeral Home 211 W. Chubbuck Rd, in Chubbuck, Idaho.
