Catherine Ann Waters

Catherine Ann Waters, 81, passed away at Quail Ridge Care Center in Pocatello, ID on December 9, 2017 of natural causes. Catherine was born August 6, 1936 in Ellis, Kansas, daughter of Frank and Regina Tauscher. When Cathy was seven years old the family moved to Pocatello, Idaho. In her youth she attended Saint Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1954. On June 24, 1958 she married Darrel C. Waters; they had one daughter, Teresa. Cathy was a meat wrapper at Albertson's and retired after 25 years of employment. Cathy was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She loved bowling, gardening, crocheting, and walking in the mall. She spent many weekends in Mackay, Idaho with her daughter and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa (Kim) Burwell; 2 granddaughters, Katie (Josh) Pehrson, Holly (Duston) Lords; 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Ally Pehrson, and Witten and Bodey Lords, all of Mackay, Idaho; brother, Ted Tauscher; and 2 sisters, Gloria Barrus and Sarah Norby, all of Pocatello, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; and 14 siblings. Funeral services, with Father LaChance officiating, will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 1 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 S. 4 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho, with a viewing for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, 1520 S. 5 th Ave. Pocatello, Idaho 83204.
