Carolyn Eva Driever, 75, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at a local hospital. She was born in Pocatello, Idaho on April 25, 1935. Carolyn was the youngest of 3 children of Douglas Koefed Neilsen and Wanda Vivian Peacock.
As a teenager, Carolyn worked at the Chief Theater in Pocatello as a “candy girl.” She graduated from Pocatello High School in 1953. She was then blessed with two beautiful boys, Douglas and Jimmy.
After high school Carolyn met the love of her life Jimmy D. Driever. They were married on August 16, 1958. Together they were blessed with two more children Richard and Shauna.
Carolyn worked at JC Penney for 20 years and was also a devoted and loving mother. After retirement, Carolyn and Jim loved to travel with beloved friends. They traveled to places such as Europe and most of the 50 United States. Her hobbies included sewing, needlework, camping, and traveling. Most of all, she loved being a grandma. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jimmy D. Driever, children Douglas (Barbara) Driever, Shauna (Gregory) Mullenax and daughter-in-laws Ann and Cynthia Driever. She is also survived by sister Gloria Doty, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her two sons Jimmy Driever and Richard Driever and brother Kay Nielsen as well as both of her parents and a granddaughter Darcy.
